The IYC, in partnership with BP Canada, is launching an Eco-Club to raise environmental awareness and prompt environmentally-conscious behavior amongst our youth. 

The Eco-Club meets every Tuesday.  Youth engage in a number of different acitivities, including cultivating plants in the IYC greenhouse garden, and interactive walks through local parks.  On these walks, youth are asked to find an individual special spot, and return to that spot weekly.  Once youth return to the group, each youth shares what she/he discovered.  Back at the centre, participants write, draw or collage about their discoveries over juice and a snack.  All Eco-Club activities are directed towards fostering a deeper connection between youth and their natural world.  

Recently, youth participating in Eco-Club cleaned Happy Valley park. Well done!
